I have been in the airsoft community for about 4 years now. I have a ton of stuff that needs to be dealt with. I have an Echo 1 Mp5 that I've had for about a year. I'm selling this, a vest, a full face mask (For fields that reqiure these), 8.4v 2000 mAh battery and charger, and 5 magazines. Also included is a top rail for the gun and a red dot sight. This is a great gun for beginners because it has the range for field, but meets most FPS requirements for CQB. I have a page set up on eBay for this if anybody is interested. Money I get from this is going towards mags for my new guns, so this cannot go unsold!

Just copy/paste and you're good to go. Happy airsofting!

STEP 1: DISASSEMBLE HOP UP UNIT
STEP 2: REMOVE HOP UP BUCKING FROM BARREL
STEP 3: TURN HOP UP BUCKING INSIDE-OUT
STEP 4: REMOVE BUCKING MOUND AND THE ALIGNMENT BLOCK WITH A VERY SHARP KNIFE
(The mound is the little portrusion that applies backspin to the BB, and the alignment block is the long rectangular portrusion that lines up with the undercut notch in the barrel.)
STEP 5: FLIP BUCKING INSIDE-IN
STEP 6: PLACE BUCKING BACK ON BARREL, EXCEPT ROTATE IT SO A SMOOTH PART OF RUBBER IS OVER THE BARREL WINDWO
STEP 7: CUT HOP UP NUB IN HALF LENGTH-WISE SO YOU END UP WITH AN EXTRUDED HEMISPHERE
STEP 8: PUT HALF CYLINDER IN HOP UP ARM
STEP 9: CREATE A RECTANGULAR PIECE OF SOFT RUBBER THAT IS SLIGHTLY SMALLER THAN YOUR BARREL WINDOW (This will act as your new nub)
STEP 10: GLUE NEW SOFT-RUBBER-NUB-THING ONTO THE HALF-CYLINDER, AND MAKE SURE IT IS ALIGNED WELL
STEP 11: REASSEMBLE HOP-UP UNIT

And that's about it. It nothing to do with a PCS or SCS nub. The goal is to creat a flat surface for the BB so it can gain a more stable backspin. However, you must use a soft nub. Eraser is OK, but really soft is really good; check out HunterSeeker5's M-nub.

For lubing the gun, I have a KJW 1911 which I use silicon oil on, but do GBBRs require a grease in certain areas or is silicon oil enough? I do know that you only want silicon on rubber parts.

I have the worst luck.. just got my Burton M9 today and it's malfunctioning. The hammer goes all the way cocked and it stops firing. I have to pull the slide back or engage/disengage the safety a few times so it sets again. This allows it to fire but then it just does it again.

Hello,

I have a g&p full metal moe carbine and I was wondering if anyone has experience with lipo batteries in the buffer tube.

I am looking for a 7.4v. Also, I would like to know generally how long each battery will last.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

(And a side question: Is there really that big a difference of ROF and trigger response in a 7.4 Lipo compared to a 9.6 Nimh?)

Thanks!

Just to re-establish, people often advise against starting airsoft with a sniper rifle because out-of-the-box sniper rifles certainly do not act like sniper rifles...
However, if you REALLY wanna, I would only recommend a JG Bar 10 or a UTG MK96 (the WELL L96 is also the same as the UTG) because these 2 have the most upgrade options. Most rifles are off-spec, but these two are tried and true.
Now, there are a TON of DIY mods you could do to make it shoot better as it is.
You can buy the BAR-10 and the MK96 for a lot cheaper than on Evike.
Also, the BAR-10 uses VSR-10 compatible parts
MK96 uses Type 96 parts.
I highly recommend you join the AirsoftSniperForum; it's a great community, and TONS of information. I cannot stress how awesome the people over there are. One of the best forums to be on.

As I opened up the gearbox, a bb fell out- it had somehow gotten in and wouldn't allow for a full cycle, but just messed it up enough to make it unusably inaccurate.

Subject: MOSFET for DMR - by: Lane44

I have been working on a King Arms M4 DMR for some time now, and have decided to go ahead and install a MOSFET. All I am really looking for is one that has auto breaking as I do a lot of semi a out firing and would like to remove the anti reversal latch.
I see a few different kinds, some with new trigger contacts like this one.

http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=38278

As well as others that seem to just plug right inline with the existing wiring, or replace the wiring with no new trigger contacts such as the silverback

http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=36932

My main question is do I need to replace the trigger contacts, or can I do something like the silverback? Also I see some pretty flashy ones like the ASCU V.3 with all of its programmable functions. Is this FET any better than say the silverback if you take away all of the flash?

http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?cPath=31_167&products_id=42081

Again all I am really looking for is something with auto breaking. I am using a 10.8v peq style battery and shooting just under 400fps with a .25g bb.Let me know any suggestions on FETs you guys would recommend me going with
Thanks

Hi there has anyone had any problems with the xtreme 45, mine has stopped firing when the trigger is pulled. The hammer wont go forward once cocked. The lever that moves the hammer just slips below the actuator and jams, this pistol has had problems since new, it broke the recoil piston and that has been replaced worked fine for a couple of weeks and now it wont fire.

the trigger once pulled overcentres like it should, this should move the lever to allow the hammer to disengage the hammer lock, when it gets to this stage this is where it goes astray, the lever seems to drop below the hammer lock and wont allow the hammer lock to disengage and allow the hammer to move forward under the spring tension is there any way to stop the lever from moving down to prevent it from missing the hammer lock

any help would be very much appreciated

thanks in advance

this is the gun: http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=31818

The problem is when i fire there is no air pressure coming out. The gearbox is moving and the air nozzle is also moving. I have opened the gear box before.

Bought the gun a year ago and thought something was wrong with it because it wouldnt shoot (realised it was because of the battery). But i opened the gear box because i thought something was wrong there and it never worked as it should since then. Some days ago i thought that i could try to fix it again

I just ordered that one, it's an unbranded, but great quality, from china. Yeah I know what you are thinking, unbranded sight and great quality from china? Is that even possible? lol

My friend has this one and its great, its built great, sturdy, has 2 color options red/green. It uses 2 AAA batteries. My friend also ordered the same one but tan, it looks similar to the one in Battlefield Bad Company 2.

I would settle around a 375-400 ish FPS. You don't need that much. So you should probably go for an M110 spring; but don't cheap out! Get a decent one. Stay away from Matrix/Evike brand, go for Guarder or some other good ones... However, certain brands use a certain grading system.

I've had it for quite a while and I think well over 7000 rounds. The tech gave me a new motor because the stock G&G motor I had inside of it smelled like it was burnt. Not sure how many charge/discharge cycles if you're talking about batteries but I think it's been almost 2 years that I've had the gun and I use it a few times a year.

I'm a fan of their gear, and I love their minimalist design - but the original idea came from a combination of 3 things:
1) Crye Precision's JPC cummerbund (general design)
2) Vel-Tye's Low-Vis Chest Rig (attachment to vest)
3) Blue Force Gear's RACKminus (low-profile and light)

I tried to find a sight similar, and I found these (http://www.ebay.com/itm/45-Degree-Offset-Back-Up-Iron-Sights-Rapid-Transition-RTS-BUIS-AR-3G-/370804094687?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5655a576df) on ebay. I know they aren't flip up, but I couldn't find any that were flip up.

Yow could also buy this (http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?cPath=25_107_295&products_id=34494) and put flip up sights on that if you really wanted to have flip up sights.

Hope this helps, and have a wonderful day!

Pretty much any free floating rail will fit your gun with zero modification. It will replace your delta ring and is easy to install.

The gears and piston that you linked are better than the ones in the gearbox. You can swap them out if you want, or wait till they break, either way you'll have spares. If your TM hopup is still in good shape than I recommend keeping it.

The AUG is not without it's faults. The two biggest problems that I am aware of are mags not feeding correctly, instead of going down the barrel like they are supposed to, bb's will get stuck inside parts of the gun, and make a lot of noise. the trigger system is the other problem, because it is made of ABS plastic it has a tendency to dry out and snap. I have two AUGs that I am working on with both of these problems, keep in mind that these AUGs are the older ones, JG is supposedly working on a better mag system, but I have not heard that they are working on the trigger. If an easy solution presents itself I will post here again.

The TAR seems to be alright, I have only had to work on the TAR for upgrades, no repairs. It is, like most bullpups a dream to work on, and all upgrades are very simple. I am of a similar opinion of the plastics used to make the gun, they may feel cheap, but for the most part they are durable. A problem it has that is not present in the workshop but in the field is the iron sights, they are not very friendly, but if you have a sight, it is not a problem.

My favorite bullpup I have ever had the pleasure to work on has been the L86. It may be expensive, and it may be a heavy support gun, but with the price comes a gun that is well built, reliable, and rare, that bad boy is sure to turn some heads, especially when you pull the trigger. It seem to me that the L86 would meet two of your three requirements for a bullpup, it allows you to use you m4/16 mags, batteries from all your guns (there is a little piece inside the battery compartment you may have to modify, but it is relatively simple). It is however a support weapon, and is therefore heavy.

On a personal note I have the Terminator P90, my experience has been fantastic, it was a little heavy, but I solved that by removing the rail system, my only desire is that a mag adapter system is made for lefties in the future.

Something that would really top it off is if you could get the short, 20 round VN style magazines to fit in the NERF 'clip system' magazines. That would really confuse people on the field. Cool project though.

The only mags that will fit in the Nerf mags are the 100 round short. Problem is that the nerf mags are very narrow and would have to be spaced by 10-to 15 MM to fit the mag inside. The other problem is you would have to use non-winding mags or make the nerf mag a removable cover. At a certin point, I just wanted to finish it and shoot it:).

and a REAPS ME1 bucking http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=38353

The problem seems to have been the new outer barrel I have installed in my hi-capa to allow a suppressor. I think the inner barrel catches a part of the outer barrel and causes the slide to lock up. I would need a barrel spacer to stick in the outer barrel to stabilize the inner barrel to find out of if this is true though. I replaced it with the stock outer barrel and it is working fine now.

The barrel that I ordered and is not working is this: http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?cPath=26_117&products_id=28513

I recently ordered a UK Arms USMC M28 Sniper Rifle from Evike http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=34469 and it only comes with one 18 round magazine. I have found many extra mags but I didn't know if they would fit it. I was looking for a mag with larger capacity. Does anyone know of a larger mag will fit my sniper?
I did find some really cheap mags http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=40691 that hold 22-24 rounds but I'm not sure it will fit my sniper. Please Help!

A 6.03 will slightly outpreform a 6.01, but the tolerance of the barrel is what matters most. If the tolerances are high, than you should be fine purchasing that barrel.

buying a whole set might get expensive, but crye precision makes a very nice set of ranger green combat and field gear. Also blackhawk! makes a set of ranger green combat uniforms called the High Performance Fighting Uniform (HPFU). Their ranger green is a lot like the one you posted below, but there's a reason for that. Olive Drab and Ranger Green are 2 different colors in the tactical gear world - most people assume that they're the same and expect OD. Crye's gear is closer to OD than a lot of the other ranger greens out there if that's what you're looking for.

I think that either the shorty version of the '203 would be good, or even a MadBull XM203.

Awesome man, tyvm. I do understand that it will be fairly heavy, but at the same time, i would rather not need it and have it as opposed to needing it and not having it.

G&P has always treated me well. I've owned a few of there rifles and loved the hell out of them. My favorite has got to be their cqbr (the same one you linked) and is the only one I still currently own. It will do pretty well for field, with a couple of mods you can have it accurately shooting 75+ yards no problem. I would HIGHLY recommend it. Stay away from the ICS sportlines, they have lots of tiny plastic pieces that like to break.

Try polishing the contacts with some fine grit sand paper. I fixed a teammate's G&G with a problem similar to yours by simply sanding and polishing the trigger contacts. You may also want to just replace the whole wiring set in your AUG. JGs don't come with the best wiring :p

I felt bad about you having this problem, soooo I registered just to answer it. Basically the g98 has the upgraded ASGI trigger box amiright?
If so, it might have the same problem that I had when I bought the triggerbox alone. What was happening was that the sear that holds the piston back is too long therefor it can't always lock the piston back into place. It MAY/also have to be grinded down to be narrower as well. Luckily IF it IS the upgraded ASGI triggerbox then it will be heat treated. So basically, you have to tune the piston sear on your own. OR you could take it back to them depending on how close to the store you are.

Just my 2cents.

If you have the hopup set at the max occasionally there isn't enough room for the bb to get out effectively and the bb gets about 5 ft of range or "poops out of the barrel". Try it on the lowest setting, and links to the hopup you are having trouble with/gun it's in would really help.

Butterfly and nunchuck style batteries are the same. In my experience, 9.6v nimhs perform better than 7.4v lipolys. That said, I recommend this battery http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=29458&osCsid=6acc444a262f7f78f200351562fbec10 and this charger http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=24661

You might be able to find a smart charger on amazon for a bit cheaper but I always spend the few extra bucks to support my favorite airsoft shop :D

Now, I wonder if it means they will make a new website for ASGI in the East, if it will use the same website but use the closest store to ship, or maybe won't even make an online store at all...
