Today we will be reviewing the Tokyo Marui M9 Biohazard Standard Edition. We will go over the pro's and con's of this replica of the standard issue sidearm for Raccoon City PD (Any die-hard Resident Evil fans out there?).

Outward Looks: 7 - The TM M9 Biohazard is an impressive looking weapon, with the silver barrel and the black frame and fake wood grips. Initial looks of the gun are very impressive, and especially you Resident Evil fans, you’ll be glad to see the Raccoon PD emblem on the grips. The gun is made mainly of plastic, unlike the real Beretta M9. Weight is very close to the real thing though. The feel of the gun is very close to my M96. A down side to this gun is the decocker / safety does not work like the real steel, but only works as a safety.
Reliability: 8 - As a Tokyo Marui, I was not let down. The gun I have is stock and performs flawlessly. Being a GBB, the gun is affected by the weather, but has been very reliable. I have used this gun with both 134a and Green Gas and have had no issues.
Accuracy and Range: 8 - I can get 75 feet easy with this pistol. TM hasn’t let me down yet. Accuracy is damn good and the hop-up works flawlessly For Pistol combat I can defiantly hit a man sized target in the center mass at 30-40 feet.
Rate of Fire: 5 - As fast as I can pull the trigger. As mentioned before, the gun is affected by weather, so if it is cold, do not expect to get more than 1 mag or 22 shots off on 1 magazine of gas.
FPS out of the Box: 6 - The gun shoots around 250ish fairly consistently.
How it stands up in Action: 8 - The gun is easy to use, and reliable as hell. When all my AEGs went down, I ran 2 game with this pistol and managed to get 4 kills in. Mag change out is a breeze and the gun is compatible with the HFC M9 magazine I have. Take down and cleaning is just like the real steel and is a snap to do. The gun is good for a CQB situation, of clearing a bunker. While more expensive than a standard TM M9, the gun looks great and performs well. It is definitely not “Just another M9” on the field.
